Fishing in Cyprus: It Happens - A Series of Unfortunate Events

We set out today at 5 AM. Today we had Phil with us, a great guy from Finland, who brought his own lures. We tried his lures, and we tried ours, which usually bring us luck, but today the tuna gods did not share anything with us.

The weather in Cyprus changes quickly: the wind picked up, and the sea was not so calm today. The side waves and splashes added some thrill to our adventure. Despite this, we enjoyed a beautiful sunrise and had a great time.

We fished 25-30 km off the coast of Limassol, using both poppers and deep tackle. There were bites, but they didn’t bring success. We concluded that the tuna is likely moving closer to the shore, towards Limassol. Next time, we will adjust for this.

Nevertheless, there was plenty of chatting and fun. We told stories, laughed, and enjoyed every moment. Overall, it was great.

Yesterday, we also went out to sea for four hours of adventure, but unfortunately, it was also fruitless. And although we didn’t catch any tuna today, one of our friends managed to catch one at 11 AM and sent us the coordinates. We share them with you, our readers. Happy fishing to everyone. Fishing in Cyprus is always awesome!
